Whitelist

What is the Whitelist?
The whitelist is a system for automatically filtering out emails from non-existent email addresses. Most Unsolicited Commercial Email (“spam”) is sent from non-existent addresses and will be blocked by the whitelist. The whitelist works by requiring the senders of emails to “confirm” their address is real by replying to a “challenge” email. See the Whitelist HowTo for details.
Can I disable the whitelist feature?
Whitelisting is not enabled by default and must be activated before you can use it. You can choose whether to use whitelisting on a per mailbox basis from the main Mailboxes screen. Please read the Whitelist HowTo before enabling whitelisting.
How do I manually add a whitelist entry?
  1. Make sure you are in the Whitelist area of the admin panel.
  2. Click the button marked New on the right-hand side.
  3. Fill in the address field with the email address you wish to whitelist.
  4. Click OK in the bottom right of the screen. (Or Activate on the left if you have finished making changes in the panel)
Can I view any emails which have been “caught” by the whitelist system?
Yes, you can view all queued emails awaiting confirmation, see the Whitelist HowTo for details
Can I change the text which people see when they receive a whitelist “challenge” message?
Yes, see the Whitelist HowTo for details
